NATURE PRINTS

Growing up, I was lucky to experience an intimate relationship with nature. Whenever I was sad, or frustrated, or angry, I would run from the house, barefoot through the tall grasses, & into the woods. If I ran long enough, eventually, I’d arrive at the banks of a mountain stream deep in the shaded forest where I would dip my feet into the cool waters & let the waves trickle past as my tears fell. Nature calmed me, held me, witnessed me, in all my wild raging. There were days I spent with my hands in the soft earth. There were nights I spent imploring the stars for guidance.

In the years since, I’ve never lost that close connection. You may notice how I sneak away from awkward social situations to sit in wonder & document the natural beauty around me. Even in the city, flowers grow in pockets & sometimes I believe they are waiting for me to stop & notice so we can witness each other.

The link below will lead you to a set of nature & Landscape images available for purchase as high quality photographic prints.

WINONA

Becoming a photographer wasn’t so much a path I chose, but rather a path that came to me when I needed it. After thirteen years, shooting is like a conversation with a very old friend. I’ve dedicated much of my life to the practice of documentation and rarely leave the house without a camera in hand. You won’t find any fancy titles or certifications in my bio. I let my work speak for itself.

I create most of my work with a Nikon D850, the Nikkor 85mm f/1.4, the Nikkor 28mm f/1.8, and a handful of other prime lenses that I turn to when the situation calls for it. My images are full frame, hand edited, high fidelity digital artwork and I treat them with great care from capture to print. Most of my learning has been through personal study, utilizing online resources, and clicking the shutter.
